Dear Karate-Ka

The World Masters in Kansai is a competition that is part of the World Masters Sport (formerly International Masters Games Association) - a connected branch of the Olympic committee - and offers elite world challenge to athletes over 35 years old. Its a long running series of competitions. It happens in the years in between Olympic activities. The Kansai edition for 2021 got postponed for 2027 due to the COVID Pandemic, and now we will have 2x events in 2027! Kansai, Japan and Como Lake in Italy.

Kansai had a limited spot list. They let everyone that signed up for 2021 to have first pick at 2027, then former participants and then, when finally opened to general public, Karate was sold out.
However, they moved the event to Kyoto, to the legendary Budo Center (where many martial arts come together, exams are made, etc. Its the place you see in all the videos as the herald of Karate), which alloed for space to add a few open spots for Karate Competition. This is a "last call" opportunity for people to join this event. So if you are interested, you have to signup yourself - trip and fee are at your cost, but let me know if you do so I can setup a committee together and start planning equipment and training venues.
